The Volunteer Center of the Eastern Panhandle serves the entire nonprofit community and operates as a referral source only.  Regional and county opportunities are provided below.

Regional Opportunities:

Boys and Girls Club of Eastern Panhandle   Volunteers are needed to help daily in the Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan County Clubs with after school programs.  Tutoring and homework help needed during Power Hour.  Volunteers are also needed to help increase programmatic offerings and to help with committees, fundraisers and special events. To volunteer for more information, contact the following individuals:

Berkeley County: 

Martinsburg:  The Berkely County Strings Program is seeking a piano accompanist Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 - 8:30 at Eagle Schools.  The pianist will accompany orchestras at weekly rehearsal, but do not need to be there every week.   For more information about this program contact Eva Price evaprice@earthlink.net or visit the website at www.berkeley-county.com/strings/.

Jefferson County: 

Charles Town:  The Jefferson County Memorial Park Board is seeking a board member who can serve as treasurer.  The organization uses QuickBooks for its financial records.  To volunteer or for more information, contact Chris Ott at chris@dalb.com.

Morgan County:

Berkeley Springs:  Senior Life Services of Morgan County is seeking volunteers to help deliver hot lunches to the aged and disabled within a five mile radius of Berkeley Springs between 10:30 am and 11:30 am Monday through Friday.  Volunteers must have their own vehicle and can use their mileage expenses for tax purposes.  Volunteers are also needed to assist with art activities and to assist with construction and maintenance.  For more information or to volunteer, contact LuAnn Jamison at (304) 258-3096 or slcmc1@verizon.net.
